This synthetic fibre consisting of a minimum of 85% segmented polyurethane is characterised by a high intrinsic elasticity: in fact, when pulled, it can be stretched to three times its initial length and, once the stretching action is terminated, it will quickly return to its original dimension.
Generally used with other fibres (both natural and synthetic) it gives tailored textiles the capacity to adjust to movement while not losing their shape with wear. Furthermore, ELASTHAN stands out for being scuff-resistant and lightweight.
Its distinctive features include the absence of static electricity and resilience. Articles made with this fibre and its multifarious properties have a perfect fit, are not subjected to pilling (the formation of small balls of fluff on its surface) and look like new for a long period of time.
